In our continuing efforts to provide the most conservative treatment to our patients, we are often able to offer air abrasion instead of the traditional drill. In this technology, microsilica particles gently 'brush' away the decay in a conservative process. This allows us to often treat cavities at an earlier stage before more of the tooth is affected and decayed. In fact, novocaine is usually not necessary with this technique.
