Kasmikha
Dr. Tamara R. Kasmikha has joined the DocSmile Dental Centers. She will be treating patients in all areas of general dentistry, including preventing, diagnosing and managing a variety of tooth and gum issues. As a primary care dentist, she considers herself the first line of defense for monitoring her patients’ oral health. She will provide overall oral care like fillings, crowns, bridges, partials, dentures, and extractions. She will also evaluate X-rays and answer any questions about a patient’s daily preventive care. She sets a high priority in educating her patients so they can maintain healthy teeth and gums.
Dr. Kasmikha completed her schooling at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and has her Doctor of Dental Surgery license. She is also certified in basic life support. Receiving the Dental Dean’s Circle Scholarship in 2012 was an acknowledgment of her academic standing at the University.
She places a high value on education and leadership and is an active member of the community. She has participated in the Give Kids a Smile Organization, the Dental Impressions Program, Student National Dental Association, Oral Cancer, and Team Smile at Ford Field.
Beside English, Dr. Kasmikha speaks Arabic and Chaldean fluently, allowing her to communicate with the Arabic population easily. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. An avid reader, she enjoys sharing her knowledge with students and mentoring them to help them achieve.
