Exam Process
What we do during the New Patient and Recare examination process
In Our office we use a phased comprehensive exam in order to assure a complete evaluation and diagnosis.
Our aim is to provide you with optimal oral health so that you can keep your teeth for a lifetime.
We start by examining the gums and periodontal structures to detect signs of gum disease. Gum disease is a slow and often painless condition that leads to tooth loss if not treated. Current xrays are a necessity for this and the other evaluation steps. We use a digital system to keep exposures as small as possible.
We next check for cavities, cracks, defective existing restorations such as fillings, crowns, partials and dentures.
Then we check the way your teeth fit together and for missing teeth areas where implants or bridges can be a benefit by increasing chewing ability, esthetics and prevent unhealthy tooth movement.
Lastly we evaluate for Cosmetics , how the teeth look color and shape and alignment. Whitening and clear braces and sometimes Veneers can make your smile amazing in only a few visits.
When all steps are complete we will be able to give you a diagnosis and recommendations for care.
